- 8 apples
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbs cinnamon
- 1 tbs ginger
- 1 tsp cardamon
- 1 tsp honey
- a pinch of salt
Peel, core and chop up some fresh apples of your choice.
For a smoother texture pulse the apples in a blender or mash the apples with a potato masher, if desired. Chunky or smooth, you pick.
Add water, cinnamon, ginger, cardamon and honey (lemon juice optional) to a pot and stir. Add apples and mix.
Cook for 8-12 minutes.
Transfer content to a glass jar and allow to cool completely. Stir in more spices, if desired, to taste.
Enjoy warm or cold. Store in the fridge for up to 1-2 weeks.
